Merrill homestead built in 1852, the Dancing Bear, - soon to be re named Blooming Inn Shelburne Falls, offering comfortable lodgings in historic elegance with private baths and large common living and dining rooms.

The World-renowned Bridge of FlowersWhen the Shelburne Falls and Colrain Street Railway ceased operation in the 1920s, the five-arch concrete span it used to cross the Deerfield River remained, and was crumbling.

The Dancing Bear is a five-minute walk to Shelburne Falls' many attractions including the world famous Bridge of Flowers, Glacial Potholes, Shelburne Falls Trolley Museum, as well as fine cafés, restaurants, galleries, bookshops, and antique stores. Within a short drive are opportunities for downhill skiing ( Berkshire East Mountain Resort), cross country skiing, hiking, rafting, canoeing, kayaking, and fishing, as well as Historic Deerfield, the Mass MoCA, the Clark Art Institute and the many shopping and cultural activities in Northampton, Amherst, Greenfield, Brattleboro, etc.
